There’s no business like snow business on Warhammer TV this week: the new season of brilliant new shows continues as da Red Gobbo takes over for some proper Grotmas hi-jinks. Over to our presenters to tell us what subscribers can look forward to today.
Nick: It’s a tradition on the Battle Report team to celebrate the end of the year with a festive special – and da Red Gobbo has taken a starring role in most of them (you can catch last year’s Warhammer Quest Holiday Special episode, A Most Un-Silent Night, on WarhammerTV for free right now!).
This year is no different, and we’ve got a real treat in store for subscribers…
The Red Gobbo has led his band of goblins and trolls into the snowy forest of Glimdarrow for the next round of the infamous snowball tournament! We’re playing a custom Exhibition game of Blood Bowl as the Goblins take on the Gnomes in Da Snow Bowl!
Our talented Army Painters Andy and James have built yet another incredible board and teams, while Tom from the Blood Bowl team has written us a custom set of rules which brings explosive snowballs, blizzards, roaming Yhettees and Star Player rules for the Red Gobbo himself! There’s even a debut for Gnomes Star Player Rowana Forestfoot, who leads her team into the fray atop a red-nosed deer.
As an extra special Grotmas gift, you can download the rules we used to play the game right here and have yourselves some merry holiday Blood Bowl fun!
Alex: Scribes and Scriveners is Warhammer TV’s new lore-based chat show where we sit down with a Black Library author and discuss their books and their writing processes in a behind-the-scenes look at some of your favourite novels. In the first episode, I caught up with Rhuairidh James about his work with Black Library, the short stories The Sum of Its Parts and The Thorn Mile, and of course Da Gobbo Rides Again – a novella all about the Red Gobbo!
Ed: Da Mekboyz Workshop is another brand-new show for this season. We take an in- depth, look at the process of bringing the stunning Warhammer World and Battle Report gaming boards and dioramas to life, from conception to the finished display.
This week, Warhammer TV’s Army Painters Andy and James take us through how they created the incredible gingerbread village board for this year’s festive Battle Report special. How did they build houses with gingerbread? Is the board made of real chocolate? And what does it take to build a snowgrot?
Thanks guys! That’s truly a festive feast of Grotmas goodness! Warhammer+ subscribers can catch all the action on Warhammer TV today, and if you’re not subscribed? Well, why not treat yourself… it’s Christmas after all!
